SYNOPSIS
We invite you to take this opportunity to join those few who have visited before and see this magical country whose culture and religion play an important part in its mystic, for yourselves. This short visit is the perfect introduction to Bhutan where you will visit the major historical and religious sites in Paro and Thimphu, experience the sounds and sights of the busy weekend market where traders come from all over Bhutan, see dawn break over the High Himalayas and perhaps ride a mule to the iconic Taksang monastery perched on a cliff-face.
ITINERARY
Day 1:
Delhi/Calcutta/Bangkok/Kathmandu – Paro Flights with Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines, continue to Thimphu.
Day 2:
Thimphu, an early morning drive for sunrise at Dochu La (3,050m). PM cultural visits to include: Zorig Chusum where we will hand block silken material.
Day 3:
Visit Thimphu Weekend market, lunch then return to Paro visiting the Ta Dzong now the National Museum and Paro Dzong and free time in this quaint Bhutanese Town.
Day 4:
Tigers Nest Hike, approx. a 5 hrs walk or hire a mule, in the afternoon visit the beautiful Kychu Temple and the atmospheric ruins of Drugyel Dzong.
Day 5:
Paro – Delhi/Calcutta/Bangkok/Kathmandu with Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines
